EX Design
A patented, compact plate-fin design for centrifugal or axial compressor intercooler and aftercooler applications — maximizing surface area in a minimum footprint.
At Diversified Manufacturing, we offer a wide range of continuous fin-tube heat exchangers, shell & tube heat exchangers, and pressure vessels. Every unit is engineered to order and can be built to your exact specifications — backed by over 65 years of precision manufacturing.
From compact plate-fin intercoolers to full TEMA-range shell & tube bundles and air-cooled systems, DMI covers the complete spectrum of industrial heat transfer.
A patented, compact plate-fin design for centrifugal or axial compressor intercooler and aftercooler applications — maximizing surface area in a minimum footprint.
Straight tube, enhanced tube and removable bundle configurations, with capabilities extending throughout the complete range of TEMA — from light industrial to heavy process service.
High-efficiency systems for cooling a variety of liquids and gases using ambient air — ideal where water is scarce or where water treatment costs must be minimized.
Standardized exchangers designed for quick engineering and fast turnaround — proven geometries for common industrial duties, manufactured to the same ASME quality standard.
Every engineered-to-order unit is designed and stamped to the applicable code for its service. Our Lockport facility holds ASME Code Stamp (U), ISO 9001, TEMA full range, European PED, and China and Korea code stamps.
DMI's Lockport facility holds the stamps below. This table maps each to its engineering scope and the engineered-to-order products it covers — the per-product detail behind the homepage trust band.
| Code / standard | Scope | Applies to |
|---|---|---|
| ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 (U) | Pressure-boundary design, fabrication & stamping of unfired pressure vessels and exchangers | Shell & tube, pressure vessels, enhanced-design bundles |
| TEMA (full range) | R, C and B class tubular mechanical standards for shell & tube construction | All shell & tube exchangers |
| ISO 9001 | Quality-management system governing engineering, fabrication and inspection | Every ETO product |
| European PED | EU Pressure Equipment Directive conformity assessment | Units destined for EU service |
| China & Korea stamps | Regional pressure-vessel code stamps for export | Export units on request |
Code applicability is confirmed against your service conditions and destination market at quote time.
Material selection is driven by temperature, pressure, corrosion and the process fluid — confirmed against your actual conditions before fabrication begins.
General industrial and compressed-air cooling service. Cost-effective for most process temperatures and pressures.
Corrosive, sanitary and higher-temperature service where carbon steel corrosion rates are unacceptable.
Lightweight air-cooled cores and fin surfaces where weight and thermal conductivity are the dominant design criteria.
Aggressive media, seawater service and applications where stainless steel corrosion resistance is insufficient.
Engineered-to-order means the envelope below is a starting point, not a catalog limit — final ratings are set by your specification and the governing code.
